Apart from Portugal, just for a while, I went to Din Tai Fung at Takashimaya Departmentstore in Tokyo's Shinjuku district. Just next to Gyoza, pot stickers, I love juicy dumplings at the Taiwan-based restaurant. (As a matter of fact, I visited the headquarter in Taipei, too! Why? Because I love it!)

I usually concentrate on eating ONLY steamed dumplings there. Because...just like said by Confucius (???)...Everyone has his trade! Though I have tried some other dishes at the restaurant, nothing else could surpass the great taste of its unique and delicious dumplings.
So, I ordered 2 baskets of dumplings -- one is mixed with crab meat and shrimps, the other is only original pork dumplings.
Look at the juicy things inside!!! I put thin sliced gingers on the top of the dumpling and eat. Mmmmmm...Yam, yam, yam!!!
ちょっとだけポルトガルを離れて、この日は大好きな小籠包を新宿高島屋の県泰豊で頂きました。小籠包は私にとって、餃子に次ぐ大好物のひとつ。餃子のように簡単にお家で作れないこともあって専門店に行く事も多いのですが、このお店は大好きなのでヘビー・リピーターです。何を隠そう、好きが高じて台湾の本店までわざわざ食べに行ったこともあります。
孔子曰わく（？）「餅は餅屋」ってことで、このお店ではもっぱら小籠包しか頂きません。麺やチャーハン、炒め物など何度も試してはいるのですが、このジューシーな小籠包に勝る味には未だお目にかかれず・・・がっかりするぐらいなら小籠包だけ食べてればいいや、ってことで、ひたすら小籠包を食べます。
中から熱々のスープがこぼれ出すので、レンゲに乗せてから、細切りしたショウガに酢醤油を含ませて小籠包の上に乗せ・・・口の中が火傷しないように、フーフーしながら食べます。
この日はオリジナルのポークを１籠、そしてカニなどシーフードがミックスされたお得な「盛り合わせ」を１籠頂き、ビールを飲むこともなく、ただひたすら小籠包を味わったのでした・・・あぁ、幸せ♪
